Elisabeth Ward is a successful business woman, who realizes that she lives with a great need. She travels to Skagen to seek out the daughter she had with an English officer 28 years earlier - in the happy summer of liberation from war in 1945. The child was immediately adopted away and they have had no contact since. A violent clash between two completely different worlds and between the will of two strong women is soon to evolve.
