Carl August Ehrensvärd was a multi-tasker who dreamed of becoming Minister of Culture, but ended up as Admiral General and commander of Gustav III's fleet. He became best known as a writer and cartoonist and is one of the great personalities of the late 18th century.—Ulf Kjell Gür
