Extended Family is a father/son story with a paranormal twist. The story focuses around Eric Grant who is attempting the re-establish a relationship with the father that abandoned him. At the same time, Eric is also toying with the idea of leaving his own pregnant girlfriend. Eric soon discovers that his father, David, was also abandoned by Eric's Grandfather and this is a trend in his family history. Soon, strange things happen when Eric begins sleepwalking as he somehow channels David's dead father through his sleep. To add to the mystery, Eric begins knowing things about David's childhood that not even David remembers. It is believed that Eric, who is not religious, is the reincarnation of David's father. After realizing how much Eric hurt his father in a past life, he attempts to heal his father's old wound by apologizing through a staged sleepwalking session.
