In the heart of modern Athens the only park is the National Garden. That is where the film's protagonists seek refuge. People of every age and origin, workers, occasional visitors, all seek relief from the major and minor dramas of their everyday lives in this oasis.—Anonymous
In the heart of modern Athens, amidst the heavy traffic of the city centre there is also another world: the 'national garden' with its lush vegetation, tall trees and winding paths, resembles a hidden paradise beyond time and place. That is where the film's protagonists seek refuge. A Greek homeless man full of pride and dignity, a Burmese refugee collecting snails for a living, a gardener who retires, an odd couple of two men jogging, one of whom is blind, a charming company of pentioners and many more visitors of every age and origin. There they will allow their deepest desires to express themselves, reveal their dreams and illusions and be confounded by the passage of time and the surprises that life holds in store for them.
