A pianist falls in love with Mari, a beautiful blond woman, who happens to be the wife of a deaf-mute animal caretaker. Both men adore Mari, as she loves both of them. Albeit all of them know this situation won't stand.

A formally and thematically interesting debut film that explores the failure of life plans: A Hungarian pianist living in London falls in love in his home town of Budapest with a young woman who is married to a deaf-mute animal keeper. He falls more and more under the calculating influence of his lover, neglects himself and his music and finances her career as a pop singer. Unable to change the situation, he conjures up a catastrophe. A dark and violent film that uses unusual formal means to describe an "amour fou" without a future.
