City doctor Panos relocates to a remote village in order to offer his services to the community. It's love at first sight when he sets eyes on Danae, who lives in isolation, with a mysterious skin condition. Determined to cure her, Panos will soon discover Danae is not the helpless princess he thought she was and time is of the essence for both of them.

Grappling with grief after his father's death, young doctor Panos takes up the post of the community's physician in the isolated mountainous village of Alyti despite the objections of his half-brother. As Panos meets the superstitious and taciturn locals, a chance encounter with Danae, a mysterious recluse afflicted with a strange skin disease, ignites his curiosity, prompting the new doctor to make enquiries. But altruism evolves into overpowering fascination and, then, bizarre infatuation.
