Summaries

Set in 1912 England, the Birling family is about to celebrate the engagement of their daughter Sheila to Gerald Croft, when the mysterious and all-knowing inspector Gole arrives. He informs them that a girl called Eva Smith has taken her own life by drinking disinfectant. Through a tense and uncomfortable investigation he let the confused family discover that they are all in fact caught up in this poor girl's death. TV adaptation of Priestley's 1945 play on the responsibility of society.
