A free and vetted resource on body image and self-confidence featuring personal, behind-the-scenes interviews with the cast of EMPIRE WAIST. Includes 7 videos and 15 downloadable activities, sponsored by Gillette Venus.

Co-created by EMPIRE WAIST writer/director Claire Ayoub and producer Crystal Collins, the Empire Waist Confidence Curriculum is a free resource for caregivers, teachers, social workers, and communities to process their own feelings about body image and self-confidence brought up by the film. After leading 17 live readings of EMPIRE WAIST across the US in 2019, Ayoub was repeatedly asked to recommend resources for topics featured in the film including: body image, intergenerational trauma, anxiety, bullying, and low self-esteem. Ayoub and Collins pitched a free and vetted resource to P&G Studios and Gillette Venus, who sponsored the venture. Using the film as a common language, the Empire Waist Confidence Curriculum features 7 full-length episodes, all under 6 minutes, including interviews with the cast and health experts, and hosted by Ayoub. The resource also features a workbook with 15 activities so audiences can go deeper into topics featured in the episodes. Led by Ayoub and Collins, all episodes and materials were vetted by social-emotional-learning (SEL) experts, social workers, and medical professionals.
