She makes it to the border but has to realize that Oni cannot leave Albania without his father's permission, which she knows her husband would never give her. Yllka, her mother-in-law, offers to adopt Oni and later give custody of him back to the mother. Emily accepts the offer, not knowing that Yllka has her own agenda.
