This darkly humorous drama is about a young, stressed out ER doctor, Paul Willard, who is reaching the end of his rope. The day in, day out grind of treating junkies, gang bangers, and prostitutes is finally taking its toll. Head nurse Jackie and best friend Lowell try to get him to take it all in stride, but Paul is barely holding on to his sanity. Then one day, a patient with a really BIG problem arrives.
