The aftermath of drunken costume party leaves an arrogant man condemned to fear and despair as he awakes locked in an empty room wearing a straight jacket.
Elbowroom is a grim and uncompromising look at despair and solitude for an arrogant ambulance driver named Jody whose choices lead him into the worst possible situation. Jody and his girlfriend Penny invite all of their friends to join them, in costume, at a party at a small beach town cottage. Jody's disturbing choice of a used straight jacket as his costume tempt fate to make an example of him. Jody awakes the morning after the party hung-over, locked in an empty room and strapped tightly in his straight jacket. His attempts to escape are hindered by his failing mental and physical health. He struggles with the realization that no one is coming back for him and that what goes around, eventually comes around.—Greg Cruser
