A Galician judge working in Sevilla during the Spanish Civil War investigates an old suicidal case and meets the deceased's daughter by chance. He befriends the family and soon meets a reappeared uncle who is hated by the father for his connection with the past, yet liked by both the son and daughter. Little by little the judge will discover the truth, and in the meantime he will fall in love.—BSK
