José is a young journalist who needs to write an article about an American film crew, making a documentary about the poverty in Argentina. When he finds out the crew is manipulating the facts to make the documentary look more dramatic, he doesn't want to write about it anymore and gets fired by the chief editor. Together with his friend, bandoneon player Cafereta, he decides to search for his old girlfriend Claudia.
