The story of a son estranged from his father and a young woman who wants to reunite both.

Charlotte Zwanzig tragically learns on her 31st birthday that she has a serious illness. After a long time she manages to get through it, but there is not much left of the once cheerful woman. Even the help of her mother, her sister or her best friend doesn't seem to have any effect. Although she increasingly loses interest in her work in a bakery, one day she meets a young man named Henri who has made it his mission to give her a new purpose in life. Although Henri seems very mysterious to her and has some secrets of his own, Charlotte gets involved and therefore comes to Robert Berger, who is suffering from Alzheimer's. From now on she looks after him lovingly, but she soon learns that he has another son, who apparently broke off contact with his father ages ago for unknown reasons. But will Charlotte now be able to locate Robert's son and reunite him and his father before it is too late?
