A clown loves a young housekeeper and saves her from a fire caused by a jealous lion tamer.

The three brothers Edgar, Frank and Charly King appear as clowns in Blackpool's Tower Circus. One day as they are on their way to their pension, they see a young woman taking refuge in a taxi and collapsing there. As it turns out, the woman is Maria, the stepdaughter of the lion tamer Fredo.
