Christmas Eve. Finally, a few days off after the busiest time of the year. For just a little while, everything will be about getting together around the Christmas tree, enjoying a sumptuous dinner and unpacking gifts. But not for everybody; for the staff of the ER, work always continues. The hospital has no pause button for a rest. On Christmas Eve, the night shift has only just started for Lily, Ben, Yannick and Shanti. Even if they're not there for their enjoyment, the world outside the hospital walls offers them little joy.
