On April 1938 the President of The Spanish Republic, Manuel Azaña, ordered the mobilization of thousands of young boys between 17 and 18 years old to join in the fight against Franco's troops in what would be the key battle in the Spanish Civil War: Battle of Ebro. These kids, known as "Quinta del Biberón" because of their short age, will be forced to leave their innocence behind, amidst the sound of bullets.
