Poor shepherds try to survive the cruel treatment of a local lord in mountainous Greece.
Somewhere in a small village of mountainous, early-twentieth-century Greece, the impoverished, hard-working shepherds find themselves under the ruthless local landowner's thumb. Under those volatile circumstances, as the unscrupulous proprietor robs the inhabitants of their happiness, a rebellious young herder dares to fall in love with the graceful daughter of the oppressive ruler.
