Until now, Yunnan has been reputed as a paradise of clouds and trees. However, in 2010, the Yulu Township (Yulu means rain and dew in Chinese) as an ethnic group in Yunnan province, suffered the biggest drought in a century. Facing the disaster, the villagers were forced to move on. However, they inherited an optimistic spirit from their ancestors to struggle against difficult times, dancing cheerfully on this dry land for more than a thousand years. The left-foot dance continues, so does life and hope.—Anonymous
