Tex arrives on the Parker ranch on Christmas eve and is given the job of being Santa Claus. Also dressed as Santa Claus, Blackie robs Parker and kills a man. When Tex is arrested for the murder, he escapes and joins up with outlaw Becker and his gang. He finds Blackie's Santa Claus suit but is soon made a prisoner.—Maurice VanAuken <mvanauken@a1access.net>

Tex Yancey ('Tex Ritter (I)'), riding the Wyoming hills in the dead of winter, comes across little Jerry Parker (Bobby Larson), and an old friend from Texas called Horace Murphy). A herd of elk stampede and Tex saves Candy Parker (Mary Brodel), Jerry's sister, from the maddened animals. Candy fires her ranch foreman, "Blackie"(Bob Terry)because he hadn't put a fence across the canyon to head off the elk, and gives the job to Tex. "Blackie" has been working with a rustler, George "Red" Becker (Charles King), who stampedes the elk in Elk Valley whenever he wants to rustle local rancher's cattle, so the townspeople will be distracted. "Blackie" seeks revenge against Tex, so on Christmas Eve, when Tex is supposed to dress like Santa Claus at a party for little Jerry, "Blackie", while dressed as Santa Claus, shoots a Parker ranch hand named "Limpy" Watkins (Ernie Adams). When rescuers come to his aid, "Limpy" accuses Tex of shooting him, and dies. Now, Tex has to prove his innocence, which is going to be a bit difficult, as his old friend Missouri, the town sheriff, arrests him and he is jailed.—Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>
