Down the Road is a new documentary series that accompanies young people with Down syndrome into self-employment on an adventure trip. Nobody comes home from this trip and is the same person as before.

Down the Road is an exciting road trip through the southwest of Germany. This coming-of-age format focuses on six young people with Down syndrome, who are traveling without their families and far from their otherwise structured everyday life. Each of them have good reasons to go on their way into the unknown. They all want freedom and independence. Together they start the adventure of their lives. And that also applies to their tour guide: the German-British entertainer and singer Ross Antony. Here he shows his more serious, profound and very empathetic side. On their journey through Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and the neighboring France, the colorful group wants to jointly challenges, overcome fears, make dreams come true. This creates authentic, emotional, respectful and surprising. Social worker Nicole accompanies the tour group, she is professionally trained in dealing with people with disabilities and is the contact person both in front of and behind the camera.
