Connie Sproutz, a likeable young woman with the sad problem of a spore-generating deformity on her face which causes difficulties in her day-to-day life such as dissolving into a gelatinous mass anyone who is to be devoured by the neural parasite that inhabits her skull, which is empty due to the fact that she stores her brain in a jar beside her bed.
The story of Connie Sproutz, a young woman with a spore-generating deformity which causes personal problems in her day-to-day life. She is forced to dissolve various personages into a gelatinous mass to be devoured by the neural parasite that inhabits her skull. Her brain has been removed and stored separately to accommodate the parasite. Connie formerly worked at Plasmaster Corporation and was a highly creative inventor under the tutelage of Dr. Eusapius Tourmaline, Head of Research. His demise was unfortunately linked to Connie's parasite, and precipitated Connie's early departure from Plasmaster. She traveled about and then, where the story of the film begins, moved into the Grand Hotel. Norbert the Night Clerk checked her in, and at the same time became interested in Connie: an unwise move on his part. Dr. Sigmund Sylvanus, Scientific Investigator, traced Connie to the Grand and began compiling more information on her activities, in preparation for the "experiment" he planned. This experiment involved a brain-napping - the abduction of Connie's disembodied brain from the hotel room. Held hostage by Sylvanus, the brain was subjected to an intense electromagnetic shock from a Plasmaster Neural Vibrator, resulting in dream materialization - one of Connie's frequently encountered inconveniences. Trixie Turner, one of Connie's only friends whom she met at the Grand, intercedes on behalf of Connie, holding Sylvanus at gunpoint and then turning the Vibrator on him, rendering the distinguished scientist senseless. However, further interference by Norbert caused Connie to be forced out into the desert where she eventually secreted a large cocoon to protect herself, unnoticed by Sylvanus as he resumed his search.
