Directors On Directing conceived by Director Jamel Wade, is a series of documentary films consisting of candied interviews with some of the top Directors in the business. Including Directors Robert Townsend, Bill Duke, Michael Schultz, Fred Williamson, Melvin Van Peebles, Jim Brown, Ben Caldwell, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Angela Gibbs, Leon Ichaso, Erma Elza Jones, Klaudia Kovacs, Kasi Lemmons, Bill Milling, Bob Minor, Shuaib Mitchell, John Pittman, Sy Richardson, Tracy Robinson, Ralph Scott, Chuck Vinson, Jamel Wade, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Dianah Wynter and Charles Barnett and many other industry leaders and innovative talents. Directors on Directing examines the art of Directing and its influences, the pioneers of film making and their contribution to the arts, the industry and its Hollywood restrictions, the new digital technology and the internet Media explosion.The primary goal of The Directors on Directing film series is to honor industry professional and provide opportunities and mentoring to the growing film community The increase in film and video technologies and the progressive programs in our High Schools and Colleges are producing excellent filmmakers. We are looking for new and innovative ways to promote the film industry and give recognition to it contributions. This film is a Masters level Graduates course on the movie making industry that is needed, affordable and available to everyone.Part one of the series examined the whole media experience including the art of Directing, the Black pioneers of film making, the industry in Hollywood, the digital technology and the media influence that may have very well soften America to except the idea of an African American President like Barack Obama.
