Synopsis

Dhruv (Divyendu Sharma) an aspirant IAS officer, takes a private loan from a NBFC (Non-Banking Financial Corporation) to buy a car in order to woo the girl he loves, Sakshi (Prachi Mishra). Dhruv had seen Sakshi when he went to the NBFC to secure a mortgage for his new apartment. Sakshi worked in the car loans department.

Sakshi in fact works in a bank & Dhruv has taken the loan in order to impress Sakshi in a bid to get her to go out with him. Sakshi is a suave and sophisticated girl and Dhruv didn't want to roam around with her on a bike. After the mortgage, Dhruv did not have money to put a down-payment for the car.

Happy (Pradhuman Singh Mall) is Dhruv's friend and helps him get the down-payment money for the car loan, by borrowing money from friends & even selling his family's jewelry. Together Dhruv and Happy run a pest control business as equal partners, while Dhruv also attends an IAS coaching center to study for the UPSC exam. They decide to buy a Santro.

The ploy works and Sakshi invites Dhruv and Happy to her birthday party. However, Dhruv ends up paying for the bills at the party venue.Dhruv paid Rs 30,000 on behalf of Sakshi at the party, on agreement that she will return the money in a few days. This was equivalent to 3 months EMI for Dhruv.

Sakshi backtracks on her agreement & soon enough, life turns upside down for Dhruv as he is unable to pay back the loan and the car is seized by collection agents. Sakshi speaks very rudely to Dhruv and even refuses to acknowledge that Dhruv had loaned her any money.Dhruv & Happy somehow pay the money to get it released, only to have it stolen a few days later.

Police is completely unhelpful, and they even refuse to file an FIR. Ultimately Happy's father has to intervene, and he forces the police to lodge an FIR. Still the police engage Dhruv in mindless paperwork, and it is shown that the people who stole the car repainted it and changed its registration number.The NBFC who financed the loan, refuse to honor the insurance of the car as the insurance payout will not be enough to pay of the outstanding loan amount.

Happy's phone was left in the car. Happy & Dhruv track down the person who has their phone (by impersonating as a salesgirl selling some free vouchers and gets his address). Dhruv and Happy track this person and apprehend him. At the time he was with Dhruv's stolen car, but the man's associate managed to get inside the car and drives away. Dhruv and Happy bring the person to the police station for further interrogation.

This person works for a hardened criminal named Minocha (Jackie Shroff). Minocha goes to the police station & gets his man released saying that he picked up the phone from the street and no car was involved. Minocha runs a large garage in the city, but this is only a front for his illegal business of stealing cars and reselling them after changing their color and registration numbers.The police inspector tells Dhruv that Minocha is a respected member of the community, and he cannot act against him without any proof.

Nimmy (Ira Dubey) is a press reporter & Dhruv's friend. Nimmy is engaged to be married. Nimmy's father does not want him working after marriage and Nimmy wants to sign off with a great story for her professional satisfaction.Nimmy wants Dhruv to help her sting Minocha for the advancement of her career, which Dhruv refuses to do. Dhruv decides to confront Minocha directly, who insults him by saying that he will steal every current & future car in Dhruv's family & he can't do anything about it.Dhruv is livid that Minocha has gamed the entire system and knows that now he will have to do something to protect his own rights.

Dhruv decides to partner with Nimmy. Dhruv disguises himself as a potential customer to install spy cameras at Minocha's office. Happy lures Minocha out of his office by bursting loud crackers in the street and this gives Dhruv time to install the cameras.The Dhruv and Happy offer free pest control to Minocha's wife and gain access to her house, and they manage to install cameras there as well. They even install a camera inside Minocha's car by setting it in a plush toy, which is sold to Minocha by a poor girl at a traffic signal.

During the entire operation Nimmy & Dhruv start getting close to each other. Nimmy ignores her own wedding preparations for the sake of her story and to help Dhruv.

But, after days of spying they don't get a single clue. Minocha is very careful and does not deal in stolen cars with strangers.They are about to give up when they see Minocha humiliating an employee who asked for Rs 2.5 Lakhs advance. They approach the employee and ask him to help them. The disgruntled employee agrees. The employee helps set up Dhruv as a prospective stolen car buyer in front of Minocha. Dhruv places an order for a specific high value car. Nimmy then borrows the same car from a friend & uses Minocha's nexus to make sure that Minocha's men steal it. Happy, Dhruv & Nimmy film & photograph the entire operation & take it to Minocha to expose him. Minocha shoots at Dhruv, who survives as he had a medallion in his front pocket.

Nimmy takes the entire footage to her boss, who promises to start airing it the very next morning. But nothing of the sort happens. Nimmy finds that her boss has accepted an offer from Minocha to bury the story. Dhruv is angry & uploads the entire story to social media exposing the entire car stealing nexus.The police are forced to arrest Minocha. Dhruv gets his car back. Nimmy proposes to Dhruv & he accepts. His car gets stolen again.
