Früher war mehr Vorfreude. Weihnachten steht zwar vor der Tür, dennoch ist Familie Rigi nicht nach Festlichkeit. Leonie (Anna Unterberger) und Kian (Reza Brojerdi), Eltern von zwei Kindern, stehen vor der Trennung: Ein letztes Mal für ein paar Stunden unterm Baum, dann zieht der Papa aus. Zwischendurch möchte Leonie mit ihrem Neuen, dem Studenten Jesper (Joshua Hupfauer), natürlich auch feiern. Nur ein Wunder kann das noch ändern. Das denken sich die Schwiegereltern Britta (Jutta Speidel) und Navid (Ramin Yazdani) und quartieren sich unter einem Vorwand bei den Rigis ein. Allerdings sind die unverwüstlichen Optimisten nicht die einzigen unerwarteten Gäste. Kian und Leonie finden vor ihrer Haustür eine Sporttasche mit einem Neugeborenen und einem Zettel für Kian. Zum Trennungsschmerz kommen für den Sozialarbeiter jetzt noch Erklärungsnöte. Bei der Suche nach der Mutter des Findelkindes besinnen sich die Rigis jedoch darauf, was Familie wirklich ausmacht.—ARD / Crew United

There used to be more anticipation. Christmas is just around the corner, but the Rigi family is not in the mood for festivities. Leonie and Kian, parents of two children, are about to separate: one last time under the tree for a few hours, then the father is moving out. In the meantime, Leonie naturally wants to celebrate with her new boyfriend, the student Jesper. Only a miracle can change that.
