After the death of her father Ludwig Count of Reventlow, a former district administrator in Husum, she finally breaks with the whole family. The 22-year-old rushes to an elderly friend from the enlightened and rebellious group of Lubeck Ibsen Club. With borrowed money, they drive to Munich in order to go to art college. Her "leap to freedom" to the artist's life also reflects the desire to create her own new identity. She calls herself Franziska Reventlow. In the Munich bohemian scene, she learns to live without physical collateral, and to love above all.—Anonymous
