Two people die within 24 hours in a small village on the Swabian Alb. The resident physician assumes natural causes of death. The Undertaker Lisa, however, suspects murder and thus brings the investigation in motion.

Lisa Taubenbaum, young and fun-loving, has returned to her home village in the Swabian Jura after the unexplained accidental death of her mother. Together with her father Alfons, who has been in a wheelchair since the accident, and her brother Hannes, who loves making coffins, Lisa wants to continue running the family funeral home. However, business is extremely bad. But then two people die within 24 hours: the local bank director accidentally shoots himself while hunting, and Grandma Wertbacher apparently dies of a heart attack. Completely natural deaths, at least according to the findings of the country doctor, which is enough for the local police chief Goller to file both cases. But how did the strangulation marks on Grandma Wertbacher's neck come about? And how do you accidentally shoot yourself with your own shotgun? Village policeman Goller doesn't find anything unusual about this, but Lisa does. But only when the Stuttgart inspector Zellinger arrives do the investigations begin, from which Lisa of course cannot stay out.—ADR Das Erste
