While Amina leaves to Tetouan to help her drug dealer husband escape prison, Rahma, an old woman, looks for her son, who left the country after taking her money.

Amina is a city woman trying to reach northern Morocco, where her husband has been jailed for some sort of drug-related crime, but when her car breaks down in a small town on its souq day, she makes the acquaintance of a local blanket saleswoman named Lalla Rahma, an old lady with a lifetime of experience behind her, who has also been wanting to head north to make sure her son is not one of the immigrants to have been lost in the waters of the Mediterranean while trying to reach the shores of the European 'El Dorado'. The two women slowly form a bond on their adventurous road trip, filled with different troubles all caused by annoying men unable to control themselves.—Zeke Jones
