A young woman who attempts to free herself from being used as a trad-able sex commodity to find economic freedom, falls in love with a man of a higher caste who promises her the much coveted freedom but when she is betrayed by the same man to eventual sexual exploitation, she finds herself at a cross road of giving up the battle all together and watch the same happening to her daughter, or rise up from the ashes of her scorched hopes.

On realizing that her mother and the countless women of their remote desert hamlet for generations have been used as barter currency, a young woman and her mother decide to break free by selling home made pickles and creating the beginnings of an economic freedom for the both of them but when a new road project passing through their village threatens to uproot their very existence, the young woman has to decide if she will give in to the pressure of the powerful men or fight back without selling her body.
