The criminal Carlos escapes from prison and with his girlfriend Evelyn they set sails towards Australia. On the way they meet with the rich and manipulate Robert.

After escaping from prison, Carlos meets the naive Robert on a train. Robert carries a good amount of money that he has stolen from the bank where he was working. Carlos uses his girlfriend Evelyn, a cabaret singer, to grab that money so he can sail to Australia, but in the meantime Evelyn falls for Robert.
