Scaredy-Kate & the Monsters -or- How to Pay the Rent - green screen test (1:00 min.)A fearful youth must seek a treasure by taking a dangerous journey, otherwise, she and her mother will lose their home. Music by Joseph Haydn. This marionette opera of courage was well-received at Seattles 1982 Bumbershoot Festival. Excerpt is a feasibility test for use of puppets with computer backgrounds. Gertie Makes a Trip to the Moon and a Man Recycles (1:30 min.)Frame-by frame drawings metamorphose: dinosaur hatches, disintegrates into moon and stars, flying space vehicle treks into the moon, and an embryo evolves into an old man.
