Adriana's husband is killed. Her son Alex dates Latisha of a different race than Adriana. Tensions arise between Adriana and Alex over the interracial relationship. Alex must choose between his mother's prejudice or his love for Latisha.

Heartbroken over her husband murdered by Deshante, Adriana struggles to overcome her hate and racism when she finds out her son is together with Latisha who is a girl of the same race as Deshante. As tensions rise at home between Alex and his mother, Alex is forced to make a choice which leads to his mother urging to choose to continue to live in hate or give up her hate in order to keep her son.—Andoni Zorbas
