A rich young lady falls in love with her popular schoolmate who comes from a broken family. The girl's very influential father is so overprotective of her that she ends up eloping with her lover, who had unnerved her parents when she introduced him to them. When she returns home, her father accuses her now-husband of having kidnapped her, which lands him in jail. She asks her father to release him from jail and promises him that they are just a young girl and boy who enjoy each other's company and they're not thinking of marriage yet. The father's love for his daughter wins out--especially when the boy's parents also request that he get their son out of jail--and he's released and everybody celebrates the girl's birthday with a party.
