Synopsis

De Que Las Hay Las Hay" is a documentary series where journalist and presenter Leidy Dinas, starting from a family inquiry, decides to investigate her ancestors and their connection with witches, a journey that will take her through various landscapes of Colombia's Pacific region. Along the way, she meets eccentric, fun, and very human women with ancestral knowledge and wisdom. A journey that will allow for the redefinition of the negative connotation of the word 'witch' into a new definition: a woman of knowledge. Through this multi-voiced narrative, we will dive into the world of Mary Grueso, a poet and writer from the Pacific region of Colombia, Stella Cuero, a wise woman knowledgeable about the power of plants and the moon, and we will meet Clemencia Carabalí, who, along with Francia Márquez, defended their territory from multinational mining companies that were poisoning their waters. These are transgressing, powerful women who have become icons of feminist struggles across the country.

Through a personal quest, Leidy Dinas discovers her lineage as a witch, a family heritage that leads her to question the historical role that witches have played in Colombia's Pacific region. A journey to rediscover the value and role of women in a patriarchal world, bringing her closer to wise women who fight against the imposed order.
