Writer Jasmijn is facing serious writer's block after she caused a fatal accident. All she is left writing are countless unanswered letters to Wim, the victim's widower. Jasmijn realizes she cannot go on with her life like this and takes a rather radical decision. Without telling anyone, she packs her bags and leaves for Morocco, where Wim runs a hotel. While her sister and her publisher try to find out where she is, Jasmijn and Wim strike up an unexpected friendship under the Moroccan sun.
