Two siblings embark on a rescue mission into a dark, mysterious forest where they encounter all kinds of strange figures, including the human incarnations of the seven deadly sins.

Anna and her little brother Casper are invited by King Morhem in the land of Ottowal to be his new queen and king. But the mean Umbrella Witch kidnaps and captures him to take control over the kingdom herself. To free him from the seven gates in her castle, Anna and Casper must travel to seven residents of Ottowal and collect seven keys. Each resident however carries one of the seven sins, which makes them either very nice or very grumpy. Along the way, Anna and Casper make lots of new friends to help them, like the tap dancing clown Rigolocomiek, the constantly arguing couple Mr. and Mrs. Mole, the cute fairy Filo, the reckless train driver Hulda or the talking Branch and Twig.
