Kappei is a dramatically short guy but he is a master in every sport. He lives as a guest in sweet Akane's house, and he's in love with her, but there's a strange rival, her dog Salomone (Italian name) who plans evil traps to encumber Kappei. An animated adaptation of the sports-themed manga series "Dash Kappei" (1979-1982) by Noboru Rokuda. Kappei Sakamoto is a dwarf-like teenage boy, but he is also the most skilled basketball player in Seirin High School. He gradually tries out for every sport which the school offers, and seems to quickly gain skills in each sport. Kappei is in love with the athletic girl Akane Aki, who serves as assistant coach of Seirin's basketball team. When his parents emigrate without him, Kappei moves in with Akane and her family. The problem with this co-habitation is that Akane's pet dog Seiichiro dislikes Kappei, and so seeks to sabotage the relationship of Akane and Kappei.—Dimos I
