Theo Wagner, a good looking bonvivant who occasionally works as a waiter, needs money, so he's looking for a roommate for his huge apartment. Susanne, a spoiled young women who just got separated from her partner, is the one moving in. Since Theo cannot pay the renovation of the apartment, handyman Oskar also moves in in lieu of payment. And finally the Italian student Pia turns up, who just lost the love of her life and since Theo owes her former boyfriend some money, she also moves in, completing the "Nest". Theo and Oskar stay there for all 52 episodes, while the ladies move out to be replaced later.
