The little ghost lives with his best friend, the eagle owl, at Eulenstein Castle. His fondest wish is to see the world in daylight. One day, when the little ghost accidentally wakes up early, he realizes that it is actually not night, but bright day. It enthusiastically explores the world in daylight and is happy about the bright colors. When the little ghost turns the historic festival of the siege of the city by the Swedes into chaos because he thought that General Torstenson, whom he had driven out, had returned, the eagle owl and three children help him.
