A pharmaceutical laboratory, nutty scientists, and human guinea pigs. A Quebecois sci-fi comedy about three friends, one of them a test subject.

In this comedy and science fiction mix, Lou, having a hard time making ends meet with his minimum-wage job distributing circulars with the particular duo of Steve and Bozo, decides to lend himself out as a guinea pig to a laboratory led by an unsettling Dr. Lucas. Lou winds up a test subject for the batty Dr. Jonas, ingesting the pills she designed driven by her belief that one's intelligence can artificially be enhanced significantly through chemistry. Tests on Lou look good, nothing but positive, but then a pesky side-effect rears its head - Meanwhile, worried, Steve and Bozo go in search of an absent Lou, eventually finding themselves "in the belly of the dragon" (the translation of the French-Canadian title), having sneaked into the laboratory through its basements and the curious secrets they hold.—pdlussier1
