It is late at night in the belly of the Bronx, New York, when Roberta and Danny auspiciously meet in a dingy and empty bar, each seeking out peace and quiet. He's apparently a raw guy, but can not figure out how to get along with other people. She is about to break down completely, dragging around a pile of guilt and anxiety.
