Northwest Mounted Policeman Roland St. Clair falls in love with entertainer Grace Alderson while pursuing a gang of opium smugglers. However, Grace is betrothed to her employer, dance hall proprietor Steve Bradley, who is in league with gang members Jean Le Fere and Wang. Braving a blinding snowstorm, Roland pursues the smugglers across the U.S. border and captures them in Wang's opium den. The Mountie is aided in his efforts by Grace, who reveals herself to be a Secret Service agent.—AFI
