Escaping the difficult past, Iga returns to her hometown Bialystok. It turns out, however, that in a provincial town, where the stories of a mysterious Podlasie sect, Polish and Russian neighbors and the mafia interests of the Jewish underworld are intertwined, it is not easy to find shelter. However, her own past may prove to be the greatest threat.—G
