The first solo ascent on Cerro Torre is one day. November 26, 1985. In the late afternoon Marco Pedrini attempts the descent. Aided by a splendid full moon, he managed to reach the camp where his friends awaited his return, at 3 in the morning. Pedrini returned to the summit on 1 December, with the cameraman Fulvio Mariani. The weather was not good, so they both had to repeat their feat on December 1st to complete filming at the top of the mountain. On 23 December they rose over half and put the finishing touches on the first professional film shot on Cerro Torre in the Patagonian Andes.—PlayAlpinismo
