Richard and Karen Douglas, a newlywed couple on their honeymoon, find themselves stranded in a deserted small town somewhere in Iowa. With a broken down car and little money in his pocket, Richard sets out to find help. When he returns, his wife is missing and there are no signs of her anywhere. Richard sets out to find her and encounters the only living towns-person who has not yet succumbed to the evil cult.
