Summaries

The reunion, over the years, of three friends.

Alain (Bernard Giraudeau), Catherine (Brigitte Fossey) and Thérèse (Carole Laure) were twenty-six years old in 1973. Inseparable, they have founded a small business together. Sentimental complications intervene. Thérèse wants to marry Franck. A first quarrel breaks out. Alain then reconnects with Anne-Marie and Catherine ends up finding a job in the provinces. 1977. Four years have passed. Catherine lives happily with Jérome. Thérèse, in the process of divorce, is raising her baby and Alain, married with two children, has become a bookseller. We meet again. We introduce ourselves to our new friends. They swear to meet often, but life again makes them drift apart. On a dull day, Alain and Catherine have a real reunion. Therese finally gets a taste of life. They are 35 years old and would like to prove to each other that they haven't changed. They organize a big party like in the past. The day after the party, nothing will be quite the same. And yet, the dreams of youth are still alive.
