Shamrock Ellison, while traveling across a southwestern desert, parts with his mother and father long enough to scout for water. Kent and his outlaw gang attack the Ellison wagon and kill Shamrock's mother and father. He returns and swears vengeance on the killers. In town, he becomes a friend of The Colonel, who is the local sheriff, and is made a deputy. One of the leaders of the gang is "Lucky" Hayden, who lives hidden away in a mountain retreat with his sister, Ann. He sends the gang to rob the Mason City stagecoach, but Shamrock breaks that up and trails the gang to its lair. Lucky and Hayden become friends but Kent decides to dispose of Lucky and blinds him by throwing lye into his eyes. Kent also has designs on Ann.—Les Adams <[email protected]>
