Teresa Walden-Stamper is happily married to her husband Paul Stamper and together they have one daughter Katie Stamper. The marriage seems happy until Paul starts abusing Teresa and becomes obsessed with her. Teresa divorces Paul and gets a restraining order against him but this doesn't stop Paul and he kidnaps Teresa and shoots her boyfriend Chris Butler. Paul is later caught by the police and is taken to jail but later escapes from jail and Teresa knows that now she must protect herself and her daughter and that they're in real danger.
