Synopsis

Based on a true story, two teenage girls from a small town in Southern Ohio (Lawrence County) get sentenced to spend several nights in the local county jail. The problem...the county jail also houses adult men and women and correctional officers are free to abuse the prisoners. The movie in not entirely accurate in its depiction of the actual events, but nevertheless, it is entertaining. The young girls were not actually sexually abused, they had consensual sex with many of the young officers. These girls and the officers were used in a scheme to remove an angry old judge from the bench, played by Andy Griffith. The judge was successfully removed from office, however, many innocent individuals had to suffer in order to get him out of office, including the young correctional officers, whose actions became central to the controversy that brought the judge's misconduct to light. On a positive note, as a result of the scandal, youth and adult men and women are no longer allowed to be housed in the same jail facilities. Although many innocent individuals had to suffer, and some still do to this day, a very important policy regarding the housing of inmates in correctional facilities was established.
