Art Brut, or outsider art, expresses the impulses of its creators free of influence from mainstream art, trends, or education. Created solely by the insuppressible genius of the artists, the works of art project an overwhelming aura. In October 2017, a large-scale exhibition featuring 42 Japanese artists was held in Nantes, France.
